Thank you for taking the time to stop by the SRU Alternative Spring Break blog. This is going to be a place for students who participate in various CareBreaks to blog about their experiences.
For those of you who do not know what the Alternative Spring Break (CareBreak) program is... it is a community service opportunity for SRU students. They go to different areas of the country to assist in a variety of ways. These CareBreaks occur during Fall Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break. We have also had them occur in the summer and will be implementing a Freshman CareBreak. This will occur the week before classes so that these students can become acclimated to other freshman students as well as being away from their home and family.
If you have any questions regarding the program or suggestions of places that we could help, please contact Samuel Goodge at the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership. The phone number is 724-738-2273.
